Veterinarian
Having graduated from Sydney University toooo long ago than I care to remember, I spent two years working on the Central Coast, then a year travelling in Africa and Europe, doing some busy locum work in the UK.
On my return, I followed my heart (and now husband) to the beautiful Mid North Coast, working as a locum from Forster to Kempsey. Following the birth of my first child, we made the naive decision to open a vet practice in 1999. Chaos reigned for the next decade or so, as my husband John and I had two more children, designed, built and relocated the clinic to the current location in Beach St. The children have pretty much been brought up in and around the clinic, and can be seen working here occasionally. I think it has put them off wanting to become vets. We also have 2 lazy cats, a senior mixed-breed dog called Indi, and we share 'custody' of crazy Great Dane, who is the on-call clinic blood donor.
It has been a very challenging time since we opened the clinic, but we are proud of the independent, family-run and owned business it has become, and are proud to be part of such a wonderful community. The decision to expand and buy the Timbertown Veterinary Hospital has also created extra chaos, but we are sure that it will allow us to expand our range of services, and cope with the extra demands that the last few years have placed upon us as a small team.

Veterinarian
I grew up in Zimbabwe and graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2002. During my years as a student I was lucky to see occasional sick wildlife, including an elephant with rabies, but most of my experience was with regular dogs, cats and farm animals! After a short stint of working in Zimbabwe, I moved to Sydney with my Australian husband. We initially lived in Sydney and I worked as a small animal veterinarian full-time until we had our beautiful daughter and, some time later, her cheeky and very cute little brother. In 2013, seeking a quieter country life, we made the move to the beautiful Mid North Coast where we have continued to add to our family with some chickens and our beautiful Golden Retriever, Marni. I have worked at Bonny Hills Veterinary Clinic part-time since the middle of 2014. I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and especially enjoy ongoing care of my patients and working with their owners towards the best possible outcome for their pet.

Growing up on a sheep and cattle farm in Central West NSW my appreciation and love of all species of animals began early! Graduating from Murdoch Uni in 2006 I started my career as a small animal veterinarian on the sunny northern beaches of Perth, I also spent time working in the slightly cooler location of Myrtleford in the Victorian Alps. I’ve had a quite a varied career, from working as a small animal vet in private practice, a government vet for the DPI, to lecturing Animal Science in Scotland. After spending some time living in Europe I moved back to Australia in 2017 with my husband, 6 year old son and his 1 year old twin brothers!
We feel so lucky to be living in beautiful Bonny Hills, and I'm loving meeting all the lovely locals, and enjoying working towards ensuring their gorgeous furry family members remain healthy!

Sheryl
Receptionist
I have happily joined the team at Bonny Hills Vet Clinic in the receptionist role. Originally from California, I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and have over 20 years of Corporate Administrative Assistant and Human Resource experience. My love for animals started young, having grown up with dogs, horses and a variety of small animals, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to help support the incredible team at BHVC. My husband and I have two sons, and we made the decision to move to Bonny Hills from Sydney, which is lucky because we absolutely love the area and lifestyle this beautiful place has to offer. We all love being active outdoors and spending time with our amazing and fun-loving Great Dane, Koda. I am enjoying being a part of the community and helping all the local clients here at Bonny Hills Vet Clinic.

Veterinary Nurse
I grew up on a property near Toowoomba Qld, where we had plenty of animals and wildlife including dogs, chickens and cattle. It was there where I developed my love for animals and knew that I wanted to care for them. We moved to Port Macquarie in 2008 where I finished school and decided I wanted to start my training to become a vet nurse. I have since completed my Certificate IV in Veterinar Nursing, and am currently studyin hard ot be a Vet Tech, with the hope of one day becoming a Veterinarian. During this time, I have been lucky to have joined the beautiful team at Bonny Hills Vets where they are so supportive as I train and complete my various certificates. I have two fur babies of my own; Lenny a cheeky Kelpie and Tony a lazy Greyhound and I love them both so much!

Veterinary Nurse
I grew up in this local area, and whilst I initially worked as an Accountant, I found my way to Vet Nursing, and completed my qualification in 2018. I initially came to Bonny Hills Vet as a client with a large (and vocal) dog with multiple issues, so I became a regular, and soon after, in 2017 I started work at the Bonny Hills Vet, and haven’t left. I love that my job allows me to help our wonderful clients take great care of their loved ones.

Veterinary Nurse
Before moving to Port Macquarie, I lived on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, where I worked for 7+ years in hospitality, completed a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering in 2020, began my Cert III in Animal Studies while working at a vet clinic in 2021, and achieved my black belt in Japanese Jujitsu in April 2023.
When I moved to the Mid North Coast in September 2023, Bonny Hills Vet took me on as a work placement student nurse so I could continue my studies. I have completed my Cert IV and am now a fully qualified vet nurse working at both Bonny Hills and Timbertown, where I am excited to gain valuable experience.
I spend my spare time going to the gym, teaching jujitsu, and writing and recording my own songs. I live on a farm with lots of animals, including cows, chickens, ducks, goats, horses, and my cheeky cat, Geralt, who loves to cuddle!

Baileigh-Jade
Veterinary Nurse
After growing up surrounded by animals of my own, it became my dream from a young age to work alongside them. I finished Year 10 in 2023 and began my journey to become a vet nurse. I completed my Certificate II in Animal Care and my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2024 and 2025 whilst doing my training at a clinic in my home town of Wingham. After graduating at 18 years old, I gained a position here at Bonny Hills Vet Clinic and I am continuing to learn something new each day. It has been a privilege to work alongside this talented team of women. When I am not here I am either working at my other job at a local pet shop or spending time with my spoiled rotten French Bulldogs, Hank and Letti.
