Orthopaedic surgery encompasses any surgery that is related to bones or joints. It includes procedures such as fracture repairs, ligament repairs and spinal surgery to name a few.
Whilst we can perform some more minor orthopaedic surgeries in clinic, we now either refer cases to a local vet who has done extra study in orthopaedic surgery, or, we employ the service of a visiting surgeon, allowing the procedure to be performed in our own clinic. For some cases, we will recommend referral to a specialist centre.
